I have taken up with a group of fine ladies & gents here in the Phoenix area the past couple of years as we cheer on the walkers for Susan G Komen 3-day...here are some of us having some Sunday fun on the final day of the walk. In honor of me Mum, may she R.I.P.

That's cool T8r. Austin has a big marathon here as well that always gets a great turn out and TV coverage.

Sad thing here is that this was the final year for Komen in Phoenix due to the politics the organization played a couple of years ago. I think I heard they are still doing the walk in Austin and 8-9 other cities in the years to come. On the positive side is I give monies to the V foundation for Cancer Research and almost if not all of the money goes to Cancer research without too much being spent on overhead like salaries of the organizers (Komen CEO and son were drawing $500k plus... each)

There was a huge local media coverage of that here and it was as nasty as a political campaign.

Thanks for the support T8r. I raise my glass to honor your mom. I lost my first wife to breast cancer August 4th 2001.
That's a great looking group of cheerleaders you have there.

Thanks for your support of breast cancer research, T8r. My mom is a survivor, my mother-in-law was a survivor, and my wife is very good about getting a mammogram every year, as she lost both parents to cancer.
Keep up the good fight.
And which one of those handsome gents in the photo is you?

I honor my mom and I support all those of our family members of The Borg. The pain and the suffering and the ability to come back from it all...I tip my hat to them with thoughts and prayers. Here is a link from youtube to our leader of our Team Thrivr and his wife...
