Hefeweizen question

My wife recently discovered how much she likes a hefe so I brewed her a batch. It came out very tasty, I was going for a Troeg's Dreamweaver and came pretty damn close. It has a nice clove and banana flavor and smell along with just a hint of bubblegum. My question is concerning the long term storage of the beer. My wife doesn't drink beer often and without my help it would take her a year or more to drink the whole batch (but don't worry I will be helping her a little). So here's the question, will storing the beer in a dark cabinet at room temperature cause the flavors to change drastically? I know with the hoppy beers tend to fade with time. I was wondering if the WLP 300 yeast would make stronger flavors? Should I store it in the fridge?
