I almost bought those. But decided that being on 75% of my wages, and relying on Aetna to come through with my benefits, plus having 7 grandkids with Christmas coming up, I need to learn to be more frugal.

Although I'm not an IPA drinker, the few pale ales I drink I'm sure would benefit from being poured into this glass. Do they have some standard and English pint glasses as well?

You mean these Phil or this. They also have Stone glasses. I have all those. Top of the page under drinkware.

I have had one for a couple months. I was thinking this was a gimmick glass until Neil poured me two Hop Projects... one in a regular nonic pint and one in the IPA glass. They are right. More aroma, especially as the pint disappears. Now, the whole story of the development is complete bunk (sister company Reidel offered these for years as wine glasses in a slightly smaller size (17 oz v. 19 oz)... linky), but I do like the glass an awful lot. Yazoo now serves all of their beers in Spiegelau, and their IPAs in this glass, at the taproom, and all of the Spiegelau glassware is so very nice. Spiegelau had a tasting similar to what I described with Neil above for all of their glassware at Yazoo during Nashville Beer Week (which was the point that Yazoo starting exclusively using the glassware), and all of the different beers presented better in them, IMHO.

I hate when I see stuff like this posted. I've worked hard over the past 2 years to thin out my glasses. This isn't helping.

Yep, same boat here, been eyeing these for the past few days but I'm running out of room. The wife has already relocated my collection for a third time, maybe it's time I find/build a place to put an ever increasing drinkware collection.

This is my shot glass collection. Stopped counting when it got over 200 and it keeps growing. It started as my own small collection, then when someone would go on a trip they'd ask "Can we bring you back anything?" you know in that cordial way. I'd say "Sure I'd love a shot glass" they're not expensive and every place has them. I have them ALL over the world. Never mine the mess, it's kinda my sons study/gaming room.

Those precisely, Jeff! And also the standard pint glasses that don't have the bulge around the upper part of the glass. I looked on the page and they do have em. Thanks for the link!

If I didn't have a bunch of glassware, I'd be all over this set. They are so very nice. These are the glasses that Yazoo uses (and were the ones sold at the tasting... I still regret not getting them just a little bit...).

Mine arrived today! That was fast!

They seem rather thin-walled, which worries me a little. Easily breakable. But I imagine that's to let the beer warm up a little in your hand, which would enhance the flavors and especially the aroma.

And I know what you mean about the drinkware collection getting out of control. SWMBO thinks I have too many already. I'm just hoping she doesn't notice these right away.

But the really nice thing is, I bought a Sam Adams Hop Tour six-pack yesterday, and I can't wait to see how these glasses perform with these IPAs!
