While I don't have any experience with that specific kegerator I run from the brand. They make all the really cheap popcorn/cotton candy/slushee makers you see at Bed Bath and Beyond or Walmart and all their items seem to fall apart after a few uses. Maybe their more expensive stuff is better but the brand scares me.

Edit:
I just saw the reviews say it uses the keg connection commercial brewers use and would require an adaptor to use for homebrew.

If the original retail is $499 you need to stay away from it anyway. I did a lot of research on these before I bought mine. The low end ones, if they are able to keep the beer cold enough at all, will have wild temperature fluxuations. It probably comes with a 2lb CO2 bottle which is very difficult to find a place who will fill it, and the tower is most likely plastic and will have a "wobbly" feel to it. I bought mine through http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer.shtml it set me back $800 but it is practically professional quality. Solid and would freeze my beer if I set it fairly high. It stays a constant 37 degrees every time I check it. I have a small bottle of water with a thermometer in it to track temperature.

I agree with Gymrat here. I also went with Beverage Factory and couldn't be happier.

That brand has some awful ratings. I would steer away from it.

can't speak to the equipment. however a life lesson i learned a long time ago was; a little cheaper is a good deal. if it's a lot cheaper, well there is a reason.
