Our Amber Ale Recipe

Post by Funky Skunk Brewing »

Here is the recipe trimmed down to a five gallon version of our Devil's Tail Amber Ale. This recipe has medaled at several brewing competitions and is pretty much our "go to" brew for our brewery/tap room (start up stages now). It gets better & better with age as well. Had some over Thanksgiving that I had given to my dad some 8 months back and it was fabulous after our Thanksgiving dinner.

8 lbs. American 2-Row
1 lb. Crystal 60L
1 lb. Crystal 90L
.5 lbs. Flaked Wheat

.5 oz. Centennial @60
1 oz. Mt. Hood @30
1 oz. Willamette @15
1 Whirlfloc Tablet @10

US-05 Yeast (rehydrated)
