Benediktiner Weissbier. I've been drinking it lately when low on homebrew, or away from the house. It's quite good, crisp, great color and head. Not as tart as many wheats, it still rates an 85: "very good" on Beeradvocate. Just as good, I've been buying it for $6 a sixpack at the distributor. It's new there, and he thinks his distributor priced it low so people would try it. I had bought a six, then another, last time a case. Even better, the bottles are very thick. A standard US longneck weighs about 7oz empty, these are over 10. They only hold 11.2 fluid ounces, but I'm ok with it. 36 new, strong, bottles! And the labels soak off easily!
(You know you're a home-brewer when you value the bottles just as much as imported beer!)

+ 1 to valueing the bottles JS and don't we all get taught that as newbs.

Haven't gotten into the wheat beers yet though we have had it in many grain bills so I may try to find this one or others like it if/when my pipeline goes critical.

I'm building my collection of swing tops, and my choices of beer that come in them are pretty slim. Getting tired of the same beer!

Could always buy some from the LHBS, if need be!

IB, I have some from my local beverage store, and some from craigslist. If you have a good local distributor for craft beer, meet the manager and let him know you seek those bottles. Mine is a homebrewer, and I was already a good customer when I started brewing. He lets me, and others, take bottles for the deposit. I bring him homebrew. I works.

Mmm... been hoping to find Belgian carb safe glass cheap so I can send people beer. Now I gotta see if my local beverage place has that beer.
