Will it take for Mr. Beer, er Peter to ban me from the *other* site? I just put up 2 new threads for new brewers, inviting them to come here for help. He warned me sometime back about it, so how long will it take for me to get banned for trying to salvage the newbies from the help they will either not receive, or will take a while to get an answer? I just hope my posts last long enough to help some of them but I doubt it stays long enough to help many, we will see.
That site is eerie, you can hear footsteps, er keystrokes it is sooooooooo dead. Hopefully those that do not make it over here will find their other site, the fan's site.

They don't seem to be paying any attention to that site.

I plan on hitting the old, defunct MrB forum, until they ban me (I've been warned from pete) and broadcasting this site to the newbies.
Do not worry FIT Pete is all bark I have been banned for life 3 times now and I still can log in and post. Fact is they know without our words of wit & wisdom their customer base will be gone till next Christmas. A lot of stores that once sold MR B are no longer selling their products

I voted less than a day, but I will put an asterisk, as it seems they even let 8teen back in, so it will be temporary even if they do ban you!

Winner-Winner, someone gots a chicken dinner! I've been banned and it looks like my posts have been deleted. All in less than 24 hours, so those that chose 1 day, come get your prize, fresh chicken dinner straight from the coup and fresh brewed beer, all u can drink!!
I really did not expect it this quick, I figured it would take a couple days, but.... ROFLMAO!! They do not want the newbies to be able to receive help, this proves it!! They did not even have the stones to e-mail me about it.
So I will say, I will NEVER purchase a MrBeer bullshit product and I will forever be very vocal against them. They stink, their products are equal to a fresh pile of dung!!
GO BREWDEMON!!

That's the fastest I think I've ever seen them do anything! I had chosen less than a week because like previously mentioned, I didn't think they paid enough attention to that site anymore. Oh well, their loss. Good thing we have BrewDemon to give us good products again.

Their own inept ability to run a company.

it's really not "Mr. Beer" any more. it's Coopers. They're Aussie. They think a wee bit different than us. Can't blame them, they are, after all, upside down.

I don't disagree with any of the comments about how the company isn't doing smart things, and it seems that under Coopers they are much worse off. Forum changes were a disaster, there are other things they are doing very poorly.
But, if I were them and FIT posted what he did, I would have banned him just as quick. I read it before it was deleted, and any company that agreed to keep it on a company-owned forum would be stupid, so they did exactly what you asked them to do.

Banning someone for trying to HELP the newbies that THEY mostly leave in the dark is STUPID, period. Without the HELP/GUIDANCE that WE provide the newbies HERE in the BORG, most never brew again, which means it cost THEM sales. From a business standpoint, they fooked up big time! You can tell your buddy peter that too. Banning anyone that references the BORG shows their serious disrespect for Louie and the hard work he has done, the service he provides to keep up THIS forum to help THEIR costumers learn to brew better, hence more products from THEM. What a bunch of losers they have become.
The FACT they were offered space on this board, the FACT they refuse the help, the FACT they disrespect Louie is sickening, as is the FACT some still kiss up to the very same forum that tried their best to drive off the experience brewers is just plain... ludicrous.
The FACT that Peter did not have the stones to contact me, yes, they have/had my e-mail, an tell me what they did not like about my trying to help newbies is pretty, well... gutless. I might have even changed the post to represent what his misguided attempts did not like and made it more.... friendly, not that it wasn't anyway.

FiT imo they don't want any help they are trying to put MrB out of business. it's the only thing that makes sense. what I do know is that since the big site screw up a cooper's hme (5 gal) has shown up in my lhbs(and nobody's bought it). imo they figure to cut to the chase and just put out the hmes and you provide your own fermenter. more profit, less overhead. w/o considering the only reason the MrB worked is it came complete and, let's face it, we Americans are a lazy bunch.

Jim a problem with the coopers is the fact you need to add sugar to their recipe. With most of the HME's full of POR they have the same MR B twang

I agree with Jim that Cooper's bought out Mr. Beer to phase it out and close it down. Seems like the way some companies are doing these days after being bought out. Product changes, becomes less available, and slowly disappears.
