St. Stefannus Belgian Blonde

Stopped in at a local (10 miles away) "bar" today. They have a beer list from heaven. I mean there is everything. I could sit there for 2 weeks and still not feel like I tasted everything. LOL
The place is called "Winking Lizard". It's a bar chain up here in NE Ohio that has a niche toward obscure beers. Beers you're not going to find in the grocery store next to Sam Adams...
I looked the menu over and settled on a Belgian. All this talk on the board lately and my love for wheat beer or .."witbier" or anything in-between, I decided to try a St. Stefannus Belgin Blonde.
Wow. I'm a sucker for this kind of beer. It had a LOT of bubbly carbonation rising up from the tulip glass that it was served in and a big full orange smelling (and tasting!) head. (see pic)
The taste was really refreshing with orange, clove and citrus. It almost had a champagne feel to it, but it had some body. For 7% ABV it was hid pretty well. I'm no beer reviewer but I really enjoyed this beer.
After I finished pouring it all.. I made sure the waitresses were all distracted and stuffed the bottle into my coat pocket. LOL
At first my plan was to bring it home to de-lable it and put it in my bottle rotation. But it has this really cool paint job that looks like it's etched on the bottle and I love the label.
Either way, I'll be going back for this one again.
