Thei is a SMaSH beer. Brewed with 2 row and Galaxy hops.
Had it on tap. Was the color of a beer made from just 2 row malt. Nose is pleasantly citrusy. Taste is incredible. I am not sure how to describe it. Tropical fruity?. Perfect balance in my opinion. A bit on the sweet side. But not overly so. Very smooth finish for a hoppy beer. To be more specific and more like the way I would review a beer....Damn this stuff is good!

I love me some Galaxy hops. Tropical fruit is definitely the way to describe it. Smells like passion fruit, maybe lychee. Just might have to look for that one to try it. Does it seem overly hopped, or is it somewhat tamed by the fruity flavor?

I've been using Austrailian Galaxy lately in an American Ale. I like the passion fruit flavors coming through...

I had a SMaSH using 2-row and Galaxy at one of my local spots a few months back. LOVED the aroma and the taste but they over-bittered it and it left a bad finish in my mouth.
I still have it on my (VERY LONG) to-do list to dry hop something with Galaxy.
Hmmm, maybe by California Common. That would throw people off!

That sounds AWESOME! Tropical fruit aroma, caramelly and crisp malt... my taste buds would be having a crisis!

I have not tried the Galaxy yet, but when I did the American Amber with nothing but 14%AA Stella hops, I just did a hop burst with 20/10/5/0 additions with no true bittering charge and that came out great. Plenty bitter but not harsh and flavor/aroma like I used Simcoe and Citra. I really have stopped using any high AA hops (except for Magnum) as a bittering charge for the most part and only do hop bursts or hop stands with them. I like the results better if I use something not so potent as my bittering hop even if I have to use more of it.

Magnum is still my go-to bittering hop but I did use Warrior as a FWH in the RCE IPA I did with bucknut. It was very smooth but unfortunately I don't know if that was more from the Warrior or the FWH.
Next time I'm at my LHBS I will pick up some Galaxy. If I have it on-hand I will be forced to use it.
