You know you're a homebrewer when it's worth it to you to clean out your shit smelling mash tun after you forgot to dump out your spent grain from the last time you brewed six months ago. Yep. P.U. Pretty nasty (but it was a damn tasty beer!)

YKYAHBW:
you find yourself buying commercial beer for the free empty bottles that come with them.
you find that the 10x10 room you are using to store your brewing equipment suddenly isn't big enough.
you find yourself constantly talking about beer styles, brewing, yeast and technique with ppl who don't share your passion... and it's all you seem to talk about.
you use words like 'banana esters' when describing non-beer things like dinner.

At least in my case - when 90% of the time you look at beer at the store and think ... self... I can make twice as much (or more!) beer for the same price... and it will probably be better... and then walk away from the beer shelf.

You know your a YOUNG homebrewer when...

Most of your friends don't drink the kind of beer you drink (good beer)
Most of your friends don't care how the beer is made, as long as it is light and flavorless
Other than studying for school, your second matter of study is.. Beer and brewing

YKYAHBW: your guest bathroom is utterly unusable by guests, and it would take days to relocate all the various brew-related paraphernalia.

98% of the time for me... no, that's wrong... 99% of the time. I do need to resupply bottles once in a while.. :borg:

You pass houses for sale, notice they have a basement with a roll up door and wonder if it's time you moved to better brew digs. :clink:

You brew 10 gallons of a Centennial Blonde. 5 gallons going in a keg to lure BMC drinkers to the dark side. The other 5 racked onto 5lbs of strawberries, for no other REASON than to see what happens and how it might turn out

And after I read it, I second it. He must be really brewing and drinking some hi-test stuff, them 9 and 10 ABV's are working good for him. :)
