I read about Brew dogs on here some time ago, and decieded to record the series. This a.m., I was up early and watched my first episode. San Francisco... They wanted to brew a beer using the history of SF so they teamed with Anchor brewing to create a beer.
the cool part was they got their water from the fog, setting up collection nets the fog would condense on. Fast forward to open fermentation like Anchor Steam.... fast forward to the idea of creating a beer from fog, and consuming as a fog. From Cambridge Mass. they purchased an ionizer type dedvise that would turn any beverage into a "fog". small portable equipment...so they poured the beer into he machine which turned it into a fog, much like fog machines at concerts... heavier than air, and it is poured off into a snifter type glass that already has the beer in it. A very concentrated aroma....
just the thought of working outside the normal convention of how we use water and consume beverages got me thinking about water... last spring, I had a friend bring me some dynomite tasting mountain water from Pittsburg NH, right at the Canadian border. I had made a cream ale, crisp and refreshing, just like the water I used. What I am going to do next, is use that same water, and create a brew that will benefit from the mineral content, instead of the crisp refreshness that I had used it for prior.
It was only one episode, but I really like that show...

Re: Inspiration from Brew Dogs
I enjoyed all the episodes though I'm not sure I'd enjoy all the beers. But, I love their energy and inspiration for brewing. It wouldn't work in the real world but it does show just how creative brewing can be.

Re: Inspiration from Brew Dogs
I used to watch Drinking Made Easy when it was on, because of the places they went, tours etc. This seems to be the same, without all the college type games.... I'm looking forward to the other episodes of Brew Dogs..
