Visiting with JoeC & his SWMBO one last time before my grandkiddies and daughter move back to Arizona. Some serious homebrew sampling and friendship and Political bantering here on the borg (Just rattling some cages and loving Mashani's soapbox speech). Reading the borg together and giving our opinions about each topic and response.
Visited Austin Homebrew Store and picked up some Hops on sale, blueberry extract and Joe & I learning some valuable information from Scott there. I visit AHBS more often than I visit my LHBS in Mesa.
Borg friendships are special as is JoeC and his wife..special people that I love and dearly enjoy visiting with. I extend the same welcoming mat to anyone that passes through Mesa anytime I am in town...homebrews and bullshit freely given!!!
Thanks JoeC & Nioga, thank you.

I'm glad I entertained you instead of making you really mad or something.
At some point I'm certain I'll be traveling to TX for business, so when it happens I'll be happy to visit and bring along some homebrew if I can - as long as nobody gets drunk and punches me in the face LOL.

Re: Another Great Austin Visit
Visiting JoeC in Texas is a special treat, let me tell you. And if you ever or if any borg member comes to great city of Mesa, Arizona or Phoenix area...cold homebrews await. And by the way, I never get mad or angry, I GET EVEN.mashani wrote:I'm glad I entertained you instead of making you really mad or something.

Re: Another Great Austin Visit
That is way cool T8r I thought you'd already gotten home before our icemagedon event ( ) and didn't have the chance to hook up with JoeC.
+1 on how awesome it is to hang with a very nice and fun couple and I hope you cheered him up a bit after all the crap (can I say that on here?) he's been through.
Hopefully by the next time you're here we'll have the little locking doo dad installed on BB2's new wheelchair so he can go somewhere in the van and hook up with you guys.
Don't forget when you get home to share pics on the furry friends thread with the grand kids and Super Orienteering Dog.

Re: Another Great Austin Visit
Thanks for the kind words, T8r. I think everyone should know what a stand up guy you are too. I was really worried about meeting you for the first time since you seemed to be such a radical trouble maker. But I was worried for nothing. It was easier than I thought to get used to dealing with all the trouble you make.
Mashani, that would be a treat if you made it through the Austin area. Please do let me know if and when you do.
Michele, when I found out T8r could make it out here for a short visit, we both wanted to swing out to Lago Vista and see you and Andy, but time was just too short. I sure hope we can still get together soon even without that trouble maker, anyway. Hopefully Nioga and me can both make it out there together.
I do have to share something that has me excited as a tick on a dog with hemophilia. When I was complaining about drinking mediocre sorghum beers because of Celiac, Scott who was helping us told me about an enzyme that neutralizes the gluten in barley while it ferments. No change in flavor or anything. I got me a vial of it and am dying to make a batch of barley beer again after 4 months of depressing inactivity.
Also, I'm happy to say that I'm learning to control my diet and medicine and physical activity to help minimize the Celiac and the gout. I've decided I'm not gonna just curl up and die. I'm fighting my way back to health and I'll be back pulling people's leg and being a PITA again before it's all over with.
I hope your arm heals up to 100% soon and Andy gets things straightened out too.
I just realized I hijacked this thread. I better crawl back under the rock I came out from before I dig the hole any deeper.
