Laughing Buddha Grow and Brew

Maybe some of you remember me mentioning that a very small, local garden company started selling homebrew products. The owner is an avid homebrewer and since he had a small store and friends asked him for stuff, he started selling things. I went there months ago and it was pretty sparse....got some hops.
I went back today and he's grown a bit. Still teeny-tiny compared to my other local guy and much more expensive but he's closer and in a pinch, I can get something I need.
He had a good stock of fresh Mr. Beer, Coopers and Briess products both extract and DME. Not so many hops or yeasts but he knows he doesn't sell much so he doesn't want them to go bad.
His 001 yeast was $9! Yikes, compared to $6 at my other guy but, he doesn't buy as much.

I met a very nerdy, young guy who was nice but talked way more than I ever could but he is a BJCP judge and I many enter a competition in the spring. We'll see. He likes to brew weird stuff like lavender, thistle etc so we won't be sharing beers. :)

:) BL you have a way with words to make an interesting story, but I can't believe the part of not wanting to try a lavender thistle beer. Who in their right mind could turn that down. :)

if you hadn't limited it to who in their right minds. you'd probably have a lot more responses now. ;)

"Who in their right mind" is a phrase rarely applied to homebrewers. When I go to homebrew meetings, I'm generally the most normal by a good measure. The last place I could say that was the psych wing. (Just visiting, I swear)
