Is it Wrong to Drink Beer with Breakfast?

I just had an egg with rice and hummus in a wrap. And a beer. I just wanted it. Is it okay because it was 10:30? I can call it brunch! Or should I talk to my social worker daughter?
Rehab is for quitters.

Never wrong when you ask this group. Especially since people used to consider beer to be liquid food.

I think it's ok, when I'm on night shift sometimes I'll have a beer when I get off work in the morning with a breakfast, now my wife thinks differently of course.

Not at all. In fact, when we were in high school, there was a weekend where EVERYTHING we ate or drank had to have beer in it some how. I had a Chererios and lite beer breakfast.

I think a stout goes well in the morning, especially at brunch.

I use to work 12am - 8am.

Neighbors use to give me crap for drinking at 9am, but I told them for me it is 9pm since I just got off work.
Would they rather I drink at 9pm before doing my Law Enforcement job?

Trollby, my brother, me too. I worked steady mids in Brooklyn for four years. We used to go to a cop and fireman bar named "The Callbox" which opened at 9am.
I never got me Mom to understand midnight shifts. She'd call me at 3pm and ask "Were you still sleeping?" I thought of calling her at 3am and asking the same question. I liked steady midnights, in later years I came to hate rotating shifts. Now I'm retired and get enough sleep.

Hey you know the old saying: "You can't drink all day, if you don't start in the morning."

Is this not what a good breakfast stout was designed for? I've even poured some on my serial instead of milk....mmmmmmm

John Adams often had beer for breakfast, so you're in good company.

I always brew on Sunday mornings, and I simply can't get through the boil without having a beer. It's often around 9 or 10 am at this point, and of course, I've long since had my breakfast.

Kegs and eggs! Nothing compliments a hearty breakfast like a well-made beer. Life is too short not to enjoy the finer things. Just remember, nothing in excess.
