My buddy (from the beer tour) picked me up a bottle of this about 2 weeks ago and I'm going to rip into it tonight. It's another local brewery that turns our some good stuff.

I thought I would post the description ahead of time so you guys could enjoy it with me when I post a pic later:

"Maddening hop aromas of grapefruit, guava, and dank pine saturate the palate as a touch of balancing malt and spicy Rye keeps the sharp clean bitterness in line."
Malt: American 2-Row Barley, Munton’s Mild Malt, Vienna, Caramalt, and Rye
Hops: Bittering: American Bravo; Kettle: Citra, Simcoe
Dry hop: Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo
Yeast: White Labs 001
Original Gravity: 20.6 degrees Plato
Alc/Vol: 9.3%
IBUs: 100+

All day volleyball tourney yesterday so I forgot to post the actual review here.
The aroma is just what you would expect given the hops listed, but it's not as pronounced as I thought it might be. Not good nor bad, just a call out.

I liked this one a lot, but not as much as some of the stuff I tasted on the recent beer tour. I'd give this 4 stars out of 5 if I were ranking it. Things like Apex and Enjoy By are the 4 1/2 - 5 stars in my book. As this one warmed a bit, I liked it even more. The rye paired with the simcoe really goes together well if you ask me. I may think about adding a little rye into my next pale ale to see if I can get that same playfulness to come out.

I can't go into much more detail because I drank the whole bomber and it hit me hard. I was already tired so this just did me in and I called it a night soon afterwards. Sorry for the lack of detail, but it is a damn good beer.

I know this is kind of a thread jack but.........

could you please stop by and pick me up on your next beer tour. As payment, I'll read, aloud, your well written previous tour notes so you don't make the same mistake: that being, leaving me behind.
