My 3 year old scale is getting old. I'm looking for a small scale that can do both hops and small amounts of grain. Any suggestions?

I'll have to look at mine, I don't remember who made it, but it measures in the 1/8 ounce. It's really nice for hop measuring. I would recommend whatever you go with can measure that small.

I have a small digital scale, a present, Martha Stewart scale, but it's just a name.... It measures to .1 or anything, ounces, lbs, grams, KGs,,, and up to 33 lbs and equivilants.... I've seen similar for about $15 - $25 zeroing feature, but I'm sure all digitals have that.

I've got one similar to it. The drawback is the resolution- it weighs to the nearest 0.1 oz and to the nearest whole gram. If your measurements are whole to the tenth of an ounce, you'll be fine, but where you need say .375 or .23 or anything significantly more precise, you're SOL. What I tend to do is convert ounce measurements to grams and round to the nearest whole number if there's a decimal, because grams are more accurate than ounces. For homebrewing purposes, it does what I need.

This one is more expensive but might be a bit better for my needs.

Both of these scales are MYWEIGH brand and the small one is called a Triton T3.
It is a great little scale that has all the features you'd need for brewing (Tare/Zero switch to grams or ounces and the cover can be used as a tray for weighing long/larger items.
When I got it it was on sale, I think it was like $10 w/free shipping.
When you're not brewing you can weight your diamonds (ctz) and your gold dust (gns).

I have the same two scales that the Brewbirds have. I'm happy with both of them.

I've read lots on the Ultra ship but ordered this one.

Mostly because my wife really needs a good scale and this one will work well for her too. Gotta keep the wife happy.
Thanks for the ideas.
