A nice session

So it's around 4:30/4:45 yesterday, and I'm already home from work. Just relaxing in the ManCave, messing around on the laptop, and I get a text on my phone. It's my brother (he lives here in town). He's asking me if I have any homebrew available, because he just doesn't think commercial beer is going to cut it.

Now, the variety in my pipeline is a little skimpy at the moment, but there's almost always homebrew in the fridge, so I text him back and tell him that there's South Ferry Steam Beer already cold, and he can drop by any time.

So a few minutes later, he shows up, we each have two or three beers, and we talk about everything and nothing.

He just wasn't in the mood for a commercially-made beer; even a good craft beer. So he turned to me to meet his needs.

That's a good feeling.

That's what I call success as a homebrewer!

Home brew tastes great when shared with a sibling. :clink:

Yeah, I always get a kick at family gatherings. My niece and her husband live nearby, too, and we all like to barbecue, so there's always a time or two in the summer when we fire it up and put on the feedbag. And it's just a given that I'm providing the beer. It's very gratifying to have all the beer drinkers be appreciative of my homebrews.

None of my brothers drink beer! :(
But I do make a point of seeing the two closest every week. And I just took a road trip with my cousin, spent hours catching up. Family is a gift (mostly).

It is an awesome feeling to have family close by (now that my daughter and grandkids live with us) and my daughter loves tasting my homebrew (I make her taste it)...good that my bro lives about a mile and a half away too. he enjoys a swig now and then. Yes BB, homebrews DO taste good with siblings.
