I brewed a patriot lager with 1 lb lme and 1/4 cup honey. og was 1.044. I checked fg just now (will be 3 weeks fermenting tomorrow) and I got a reading of 1.010. I pretty much was following the dad's cream ale recipe from mr beer but used lme from the local shop and only 1/4 cup honey vice 1/2 cup honey. directions for this recipe indicate a fg of 1.007. I know I need to check again tomorrow for fg to see if it is still the same but wondering if I should be off like this from the recipe. on a side note, it tastes pretty good.

Rarely do I hit a recipe's OG or FG numbers.

FG should be APPROXIMATELY 25% of OG, in your case 1.011. You don't say if you hit OG or not, but I'd say your reading of 1.010 is right on.

I did hit og of 1.044 that is why I was wondering about the 1.010 reading.
