Wet Yeast Package?

Post by John Sand »

I pulled a beer from the bottom drawer of the fridge, it came up empty. There was a hole in the bottle. And my yeast and hops are in that drawer. Fortunately everything but one pack of Notty was in ziplocs. Do you think it will be okay? Should I chuck it? Has this happened to you? I sort of think it will be okay, since the package is airtight and vapor tight. My thought is to buy another in case, and open this one when I need it. If it's all still dry and powdery, I'll use it. Sticky or clumpy, I dump it.

Never mind, there it is.

Notty uses foil packaging. If it it is still vacuum sealed, you're OK.

I agree, as long as the foil pack is sealed, it was not hurt. Use it with pride.
