Upgrade for my conical

Post by Gymrat »

I am tired of having to disassemble my ball valves every time I clean my conical. So I ordered a pair of these

If you ever buy a conical, brew pot, mash tun, or anything else that requires a valve I highly recommend spending the extra $ to go with butterfly valves.

It is essential that I disassemble my ball valves every time I clean my conical because trub and stuff gets caught in there where it doesn't get washed out. This last time I dumped my sanitizer in my conical it came running out the ball valves like they were opened up. Turned out I didn't torque them tight enough last time I cleaned them. I had a huge puddle of sanitizer I had to clean up. That frustration was enough to get me to let go of a hundred bucks for an upgrade. Had I taken the upgrade when I bought the thing it would have only been $50.

You won't have to take them apart to clean them also?
