Well, our Liberty APA ended up finishing 3rd at the 9th annual Brew Master Competition this year. Final score was a 37/50 (overall) and was broken down in these categories by average:
One of the overall themes in the comments was stating the beer could use a little more hop aroma in the beginning to keep it closer to the APA style. Also stated the beer could use a little less carbonation. One nice comment to receive from one of the three judges was, "I would drink this beer on a pretty regular basis." Love to get that sort of feedback on my beers. Overall I am very pleased with the way the feedback came and I will take their comments and bring it to the next brew day of this APA.

Thanks guys. Always nice to win a medal/ribbon but to me it's the feedback and comments that I look forward to receiving from the judges. It either confirms the process or gives you great feedback on what could be changed to make better beer and that's what it's all about.

Thanks, Dave!!
Yes sir, you as well as I both treat competitions the same and that's for the feedback of the judges in hopes of either confirming your process or letting you know where it could use improvements. I definitely received great feedback from the judges and look forward to taking those tweaks to the next brew day for this beer. The ribbon was nice though
It gets you itching to try it again, with modifications based on the comments, doesn't it?
I'm brewing the Pearly Pils this weekend, in fact. Mostly concentrating on making a robust yeast starter (this evening's task), and getting my temperature control in hand.
