I got my new butterfly valves today. I must say they are extremely heavy duty and they give my conical a professional look.
As you can see from this image everything is exposed. There is no dis-assembly needed to clean them. That was the reason I bought them. But there is an added bonus..
Look at the size of the passage way through my new valve compared to the one through my old ball lock valves. It won't take so darn long to drop the yeast out from under my beer with an opening this wide. Through my old ball valves the yeast would barely come out. Down side is once it loosens up it is going to be a challenge closing the valve fast enough
