"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Using chocolate malt instead of roasted malts for color should give you a really smooth stout. My first porter I used 4oz each of Roasted barley and Black patent. It came out really nice.

Looks good, very similar to my porter I just brewed up last week. Same hops, grains are almost the same too. I used 12 oz chocolate and 8 oz black prinz malt. I was hoping to get a noticable roastiness since it is a robust porter, but ensure that it didn't have a burnt or astringent flavor. Time will tell if I got it right! Let us know how this one turns out, sounds good for sure. Looks like you will have a great mouthfeel with that flaked barley and high mash temp!

White House Honey Porter uses 12 oz of Munich, 6 oz Black and 3 oz Chocolate. It's very good.

I must say it looks better then my first attempt at a porter, but I am still waiting for it to age. I used 1# of pale chocolate to color mine and that may have been an oops. I think your recipe will taste great.
