Has anyone ever got any info on the where-abouts of TimeTraveler? It's been months since I've seen anything posted from him. I've been hoping he's just been out on a dig and unable to connect with us but I've gotten really worried about him as of late.

Him and Evily. She showed up to say "hi" and then disappeared.

Got to say that the Borg is the only forum experience I've had so I'm not used to the idea that people disappear from posting after you've been "talking" to them from all across the country.

I seem to notice when certain people "drop off" from posting and start to worry why.

I get a kind of dread feeling like my neighbor went missing or something but I didn't want to say anything because this is the only forum I've been on and I thought it might be normal.

I still have Evily's address, I could send her a "Borg says Hi, wishing all is well" beer mail.
I could put "or current resident" on the package also in case she's moved in with her boyfriend. That way either she's happy we're thinking of her or someone new is intrigued and looks into The Beer Borg.

there's an idea, meet me somewhere between Lagrange and Atlanta and I'll chip in a couple.

Yeah, I miss them too. Brewbirds is right, this is the only forum I am on where I actually care if someone disappears.

Joke thread suffers from TT's absence. Reposts of old jokes don't cut it, neither do bad jokes from Minnesota or ND...

BB, people disappear from forums all the time. Interests change.

Used to spend a lot of time on a wood-working forum. There was one guy that did some fabulous wood work (I think he may have been doing it professionally) and, as a hobby, he and a buddy would go up in to the mountains in a modified Jeep on to trails that only a mountain goat should be on. Some of the pictures he would post of their travels would make the hair on my neck stand up.

Well, one day there was a post under his user name but it was from his wife. He had pushed his luck too far and he and his buddy had fallen off the mountain in the Jeep. His buddy lived but he hadn't. To this day, even though I had never met the guy, his passing bothers me more than just about any other of my friends that have gone before me.
