I would not believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes

I pitched my yeast at a little before 4 PM today. 6:15 I went downstairs to do some laundry, I heard something, I thought "nah couldn't be", I went over to my conical and sure enough I had air bubbles being blown into my blow off bucket. UNREAL!

I set a fan up to blow on the conical hoping that will aid in controlling the temperature some. Though my experience with Notty is the beer can get up to 75 degrees and not cause off flavors.

Sweet ! Notty is a great yeast. I have the same thing going on with my US-05 . Pitched Sat at 6:45, and this morning at 8am it was going bonkers! Still extremely motivated right now .

Darn Gymrat another post about the fermenter temps on that baby.

Okay so you already know I'm a nut case: what about wrapping it , neck and sleeves towards the bottom and waste end to the top, in an old parka and putting ice packs inside the parka?

I confess that it sounds stupid but I do wonder if it would cool it off if you need to?

So far the fan seems to be holding the fort. Good idea though.
