Hoppy Poppy IPA

Finally had a chance to taste a beer my friends sent me from Figueroa Mountain Brewery. I think I may have had this before but it's a very good, typical West Coast IPA. 6.5% ABV and 60 IBU's, it poured with a bit less aroma than I expected but still smelled very nice. A piney and citrus aroma was followed by a well balanced flavor with a moderate body. A very golden color that was perfectly clear and carbed just right.
It finished with a mild grapefruit bite. It's a good quality beer.
I plan on visiting this brewery since I'll be in Santa Barbara in mid June and I'm told they just released a DIPA called Lizard's Mouth so I hope to have numerous of those to remember later.
Sorry, I didn't have a proper picture but here's a few of the dead soldiers.

The only thing that would make that picture better, would be to have the evil twin passed out in the background.

Nah, we had a good many more but thankfully, we started with the session beers and worked our way up to Dr. Hoptagon. It was worth the wait.

Most people MOW their lawn. Leave it to Beer-Lord to Sow his lawn with beer bottles. By the end of spring do you hope to harvest a crop of IPAs?

It was the twins yard but IPAs don't grow in the ground, they come from eggs. You mean you didn't know that?

If this was a working way to do it, I'd spend all spring (at least what we have of spring here) sowing.....24 hours a day!
