Brew Day

My hops were higher alpha than expected. The website said this batch is 5.3% what I got was 6.5%. 6.5 AAUs is too much for a 1.050 beer in my book. So I am moving .3 of a gram from the FWH to the 10 minute addition.
Also we have thunderstorms forecasted for this afternoon. I do brew in my spare garage so I will be sheltered but I go out to hose down and clean equipment. I don't want to do that if there is lightening. This might mean cleaning equipment after work tomorrow. Also I am thinking I might move my boiling operation deeper into the garage in case of high winds. I like boiling right next to the door for safety reasons. But I suppose as long as the big door is open and there is good air flow it should be OK to brew in the center of the garage.
