I lost my Mom to cancer a few years ago and Easter was one of her favorite times of the year. She was deeply religious, loved holiday cooking and as a gardener loved Spring of all seasons.
She was a Kitchen Diva that could put Martha S to shame; a Southern Bell stereotype for graciousness, hospitality, and creativeness. She was a past President of the Native Plant Society and transformed her acreage with a will and determination that would make large men cringe.
So I spent this weekend, without her, cleaning and trimming around the little native mecca she built and just wanted to share some of the pictures I took to send my sister today.

What a wonderful way to pay tribute to mom. I'm sorry for your loss and am glad you can find peace in what she left you. She must have been an awesome teacher.

Glad you guys liked the pics, it was overcast when I took them but with a bright sunny day they were so vibrant I wish the pics could do them justice.

I wanted to share because of her I always associate Easter with flowers as she did.
