Found a solid way to log brewing.

After searching and not finding anything I liked for logging brews, I made my own spreadsheet with google docs.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... 1610984530

I can attach pics and keep a recipe table of contents that will link to specific batch notes. I'm pretty happy with how it looks and how easy it was to make, I'll be able to add more details if I start taking more data from the batches like water profiles, efficiency, and other stuff, but for now this is the perfect amount of data I want.

For me a spreadsheet was the way to go also. I have many tabs:

Brewed inventory - shows inventory, but type and bottle size, adds up to total, and shows what percentage of total each type is. I have a formula that shows the word REBREW when I hit the equivalent of 18 bottles. That page also tracks bottles by size and shows me how much is clean and what that would brew in batches, and how much is dirty (i.e. not yet label removed).

Brewing history - shows everything about a batch I want to keep track of.

Unbrewed inventory - shows me supplies I have

Investment - shows me what I've spent, which allows me to calculate cost per batch and per 12 pack and keep a running total and average.

I have a label page that takes the data from elsewhere and puts it in a row, which I then Mailmerge with Word to make my labels.

Other tabs too but not really used.

I did it because I'm cheap and like keeping data the way I want to keep it.

I love playing with excel. It is amazing what you can get it to do. I also keep my brew notes on excel but I am not as elaborate as you are. About once a month I back it up on my thumb drive. I also put it on my tab3.7 so I can make entries on it while I am brewing. So it is backed up that way too.
