Lagunitas IPA Clone

I think this is next. I cloned GF WCPA, but used an unsanitized cup for a sample. Bam! infection. Now I have a couple of Pale Ales, an Amber, some Irish Red and Biere de Garde on hand, but no IPA. How sad. I like Lagunitas, it fits ingredients I have on hand, and at 6%abv, I won't have to wait too long for it. I'm looking at two options: the Can You Brew It and Clone Brews recipes. I'm leaning toward the CYBI, with minor changes (bittering hops). Anyone brewed this?

Nope, but that's a damn fine beer to clone. I'll be interested to see which you do and how you like it, though.

I have the CYBI recipe in my file but have never done this either. Only been able to try this a few times but everything I've had from Lagunitas has been good.
I say do it!

Lagunitas IPA id defentatly one of my favorite IPA's. I have heard good things about the CYBI clone. The recipe comes straight from the Brewer. They interview the man and he is very giving with information about the recipe and the beer. I have this on my to brew list for the next IPA.

Some good podcasts there but I rarely get to listen to all of them.

I'm seeing a lot of doubt and confusion over the ingredients they mentioned on the show. Apparently it's their take on the Lagunitas IPA, I'm a big fan of their beers too including their 'Little Sumpin', not the breweries own recipe.

There is a debate on HomeBrewTalk, though many say that the recipe did in fact come from Lagunitas. Either way, I have the only two recipes from which too choose, or combine.
I am also reconsidering brewing the WCIPA again.
Oh, the trials of brewing!
