Modded yeast starter

Don't have enough washed gigayeast 001 or WL001 and not enough time to do a stepped up starter so I'm going to blend them together. Never done this and it's really not a big deal at all but it's washed, only a few months old and better that that, it's free! My favorite four letter word that starts with 'F'.....FREE!
Think I'll do 2 liters and save 1 liter for the next brew. Hey, that'll be free too.

The melding of yeasts took off in 5 hours and overnight, it almost overflowed but I do have a full 2L so there's not much neck room left. I'll likely cold crash this tomorrow for use on Sunday.

Seems the mix of 2 very similar yeasts is fine so far. There was airlock activity within 8 hours Sunday night and all day and night on Monday and the temp got to 70 but this morning, when I thought things would start to slow down a bit, the airlock was clocked and I should have used a blow off tube (note to self). There was a bit of a mess but since my fermenter is contained, it's all good. Smelly, but good.
Of course, the real test will be the taste.
