Propane burner to natural gas conversion

Post by Beer-lord »

Anyone use a propane to natural gas converted burner? My burner is only a short time away for wearing out. It's old and I really would like a more quiet one like the Blichman with leg extensions so I don't have to move my pot after I'm finished to rack to my fermenter. But, I'm concerned that natural gas will not burn as hot/fast/well. My dad had a BBQ converted to natural gas which worked fine but it was definitely not as hot.
While I'd love to save a few $$$ since natural gas is cheap, I don't want to do so and spend an extra 30-45 minutes on my brew day.
