Date of Grain Sack? Deal Shipped?

I was in LHBS the other night. They have sacks of two-row, with numbers stenciled on them. But none looked like a date. How do I know how old it is? And, If I don't buy local, can anyone suggest a source with shipping that won't double the price? Or is that a pipe(line) dream?

I think I was drunk at the time....Just Kidding, I'm really never drunk. But I'm not sure what brand. I kind of want to say Briess.

Seriously though, if it's Briess, their date codes work like this...
130115
13 = 2013 | 01=January | 15=15th day of the month
This product was produced on January 15, 2013.
There may be extra digits after the first six, but they are for internal use.
