Another Kickstarter campaign, and yet another one of those "now why the hell didnt I think of this" moments. Oh yeah, thats right, it never would have occured to me to package beer in such small quantities and with only one variety on the pull....

It's picking up a lot of steam. The pouches are one time use, BUT, they are being priced at a dollar a piece now which is definitely reasonable.
And you can carbonate homebrew in the pouches...still not sure how that will work.

That's pretty cool.

And this is different from a
5-liter keg dispenser how exactly? Methinks this is one of those cases when reinventing a wheel is entirely unnecessary...

I know The Funky Buddha won't fill up your 5L keg, but they will fill your synek pouch. As far as homebrewing, I didn't even knows those mini kegerators existed. At half the price I might pick that up, thanks for the link!

I personally could care less about commercial beer (unless it's something for "research", and I wouldn't want a gallon of it then)... To use the one I linked to with homebrew, you will need to get the CO2 accessory kit. ScrewyBrewer uses this exact model, I think he even posted a how-to a while back...

Cool, I'll search for it. I don't really mind bottling but it would be really cool to have my own tap. For ~150 I can seriously consider it, gonna look into mini kegerator options. It would have to be self refrigerated though.
As far as the commercial fills, I care a crapload about commercial beers. I love going to beer fests and local breweries, hunting down special releases, and even trading beer across the country, but 300 dollars for a growler upgrade is really steep. Also I'd imagine they aren't going to be filling their special beers up since they limit it to one growler per person, and here in FL 64oz is illegal so we get stuck with 32oz and 128oz.
Flori-duhhhh....
Even considering the homebrew possibility it's essentially 150 more bucks so I can growler beer in a pouch and serve it on a tap, I don't get growlers enough to justify that.
