Interesting article on which states drink how much beer, wine and spirits per capita.
Beer Drinking States
Wonder what the map would look like if they could figure out how to include homebrew. I know I would bump up the level for Iowa a bit...

Well, I'll just have to see what I can do to help Louisiana move up a few notches.

Clearly California isn't pulling it's weight here - no pun intended.
What's up with the binge drinking in the Northern States of Middle America?

It gets COLD up here in the winter months!
And even when SWMBO isn't fully enamored with us, we can always find comfort and warmth in some good beer!

No kidding FIT! But then, considering there's only two people that live in the entire State it's not hard to skew the results of the pole.

True dat.. But FITs gotta have at least one neighbor who runs the general store, gas station, post office and turns the lights out at night!
Still, I'm not fond of per capita listings as they are usually not very accurate...
While you can generalize some trends from them, it's really not accurate to try to assign a consumption volume that's spread across an entire population set with no consideration for the validity of the set (ie. Of all the people in the state how many actually drink beer, wine, or spirits or combinations thereof, or don't drink any of the above.)

LOL, yea, but we would have a lot less of those yahoos with blue plates would STOP coming to our state and robbing us of our resources... I mean come on... don't y'all have any fish or deer there?? Our population triples during fishing/hunting season. I really think the only reason we have such a high drinking rate is because of all the out of staters (blue-platers) that come and steal our resources.... hehehehe

I think they get that number by counting your empties... find a better place to hide them.

Yeah, FIT is clearly skewing the results.

New Hampshire`s sales cross border are huge, even though they say they accounted for it, they likely are way off. People drive there to buy wedding booze, etc.
I think people come to North Dakota to even out the genders so that the two guys (FIT and the general store owner) can try the other gender...
