What is going on everyone!! Been a long time! Life got in the way and I had to put brewing on hold for a few years but I am finally settled back in and about to saddle up again! Just purchased one of those conicals that kaelia posted about. Let everyone know how it works! For $90 figured I would try it out.
So...... life got in the way. Ended up switching jobs in Jan of 2013 and than moving around March of 2013. Than my wife was offered a job in June of 2013 in Virginia. So we put the house back on the market, which we had just purchased, and sat and waited for 10 months for it to sell!!!! Finally sold and we lost our shirt on it but it was gone so that is what mattered. Packed our stuff up and headed to VA. Although the entire time my wife was living in Virginia and I was living in Connecticut. Almost a full year apart with about a week a month where my wife would come back to CT and work from home for the week. Her company and boss were super supportive about everything which made it much easier.
About a month before coming down to Virginia I was offered a job as well, perfect timing! It was ironic though because they allowed me to move to Virginia than flew me up to Boston MA for training for about 10 days. I only lived 1.5 hours from boston prior to moving. So now I work remote from home and am loving every minute of it. Still doing claims only now I do homeowners claims. So if a tree falls on your house, let me know. Hopefully it misses your brewing equipment.
Trying to figure out what to brew first again. Thinking my porter or stout since it should be ready come fall/winter and than I will get ready for my pumpkin spiced beer........mmmmmmmm!
Well, if anyone is in the Manassas VA area than let me know and we can hit up BJs brewhouse for a pint and food. I make my own schedule so whenever works!
