Not really sure what the rules are here for discussing other commercial beers but I'm curious how the Borg feel about Woot Stout? Apologies if this has been discussed already.
I'm a big fan of Stone beers........my favorite is Ruin Ten but I do enjoy the Drink by's (I think they're as good as ruin ten) and of course Ruination is well above avg. I did try the Coconut IPA (good crisp but not enough aroma for me). Am waiting for the 17th anniversary to get to town.
Anyway, am enjoying the Woot tonite while on the gulf coast and since I'm stuck in a condo with the wife, daughter and her college girlfriends, and no one else enjoys this, I'm forced to finish the bomber tonite so..............bob's your uncle.

I like most of Stone's offerings, I have not been able to find that one yet. I am still trying to recover from the 17th Anniversary Stone IPA that one put a hurt on me for some reason.
You are free to talk about anything beer here.. heck even non-beer.

Haven't had w00t yet, and as for how the Borg feels about commercial beers- NOT ALLOWED!!!
lol just messing with ya. We welcome conversation about beer, whether it be homebrew or commercial! I've never had a Stone beer, but I have had a clone of Vertical Epic 09-09-09 from Naked Cat Brewery (Thanks again, Inkleg!), and that was quite delicious. Recently a beer review section has been created to make posts about your own personal reviews of beers, whether they be other members' homebrews or commercial beers. It's all good!

I have a Woot, Two 17th and a Coconut in the fridge. Like you I enjoy every thing Stone.
I hate that you may have to finish the Woot by yourself.

The beauty of the whole thing here is that we can discuss anything we like, as long as we don't abuse each other, at least not too much. This is a free and independent zone. Since no company owns it, we don't have to feel obligated to protect their interest. It's as American as apple pie.

Thanks Phil. I wish you could have had the real thing. I still have a 10-10-10, 11-11-11 and two 12-12-12s in the fridge.

Hehe no worries, Bret. I don't frequent the bars or stores very often because I have all the homebrew to quench my thirst for beer. But I guess I should try some Stone brews. I don't usually drink dark beers though and I feel like most of their stuff is dark, like stouts and porters.

Take a look at their site
http://www.stonebrew.com/ let me know if you see something you want to try. I have a few places here that carry or can get most if not all they have.

Stone makes some really good Pale Ales, IPA and IIPAs.
Their Levitation is a great Amber. I have some in a bucket right now. Checked the FG tonight and it's down to 1.012, time for the dry hop. Do I have your address?

I've got 2 beers fermenting, both Stones so I should be golden for a bit.
I'm hoping my Levitation comes out as good as the ones you guys brewed. Only a week in though so I won't know for a bit.

I'll look into that Levitation. I do like a nice amber ale. Jeff, yes you do. Well you did, unless you lost it from when the PMs from the old MB site changed and all the PMs disappeared.
Bret, I have seen some Stone beers here before, but just haven't tried them. Guess I oughta look to see if Levitation is in stock somewhere here. If not, maybe I can trade ya something for a bottle of it!

Phil, I'm old school. I have written on paper and in pen the names and addresses of over 15 Borg members.
I can get you any Stone you may like to try and shipping will be a little easier on me than Bret. I know because I have his address also.

I appreciate the offers, guys
I'll try and look for them locally first and if I don't find them, I may take you up on that.
