Very interesting list. FWIW, I mostly agree with my state (LA)

While thinking we have it pretty good in CA, I have somewhat frequent business trips to Oregon and always look forward to their beers.

In the top 10, which doesn't surprise me. There's a bit of a craft boom going on in the Empire State, in case no one noticed.

These people have to realize that there's much more to Minnesota than the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

#13, not bad! I would agree that there are some pretty darn good breweries in the Chicago area that are starting to really take off (Two Brothers is a prime example), so I would expect our ranking to climb over the coming years.

The Austin brew scene alone could put Texas up there on the list and besides Jester there are a few others that deserve mention.
I heard Roanoke came in second to Richmond for both Stone and Sierra Nevada. I think Roanoke has the better water quality but Richmond has a the better location for distribution.
Can't wait to get there and unpack my brew gear.
It doesn't shock me for #'s 1 and 2 but Cali may start to fall down the list if the drought doesn't break.

I'm still waiting for my state to realize there's a rock above them so they can climb out from underneath it.

I have to say with places like Jekyll Brewing and Hop Alley I can see Georgia Climb up that list. There does need to be some reform when it comes to distribution laws there. For Jekyll not to be allowed to "sell" beer directly is ridiculous.

Whatcha coming to our great state for Birds, and are you staying a while?
If so, you need to make a trip down here to Lynchburg. We have an up and comer in Apocalypse Ale Works that's getting ready
to add a can line also.

BB,
Actually, it is Norfolk and Richmond in the running for Stone.
And BTW, Green Flash is breaking ground on a site within 2 miles of my house in Virginia Beach

@ TT well we got this little bug called home brewing and after it took complete hold we were driven to find the best water in country; right or wrong the Brew Gods led us there.
@Sparrow: the info BB2 found was on Roanoke's citydata site so if they spouted untruths we understand that regional rivalry does seem to be big there ( like between Lynchburgers and Roanokers for example ala citydata.

Columbus Oh is also one of the final three for Stone's addition east of the Mississippi.
