Not Obsessed

There, I said it! And I think I can do it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not stopping. But at times, I find myself getting stressed if my fermenter is empty. Lately, I have thankfully been pretty busy visiting family, sailing, doing other fun stuff. Brewing too, a batch (5gal) a month. But I've had to remind myself that it's not an obligation, it's a recreation. I do it when I want. And I have plenty of homebrew in the pipeline, I'm drinking beer bottled in April and May.
It's completely under control, I swear.

We all know that 2 negatives make a positive, but 2 positives never make a negative. So I say, Yeah Right.

I hear ya. I recently noticed that I was making 2 gallon HME batches just so the bottling timed with me racking a 5g to secondary since "I gotta clean anyway, and it dont take that much more time." Wife pointed that out last nite while racking a blonde and bottling an API IPA. I have a strange feeling I will be doing the same thing when it comes to kegging.

I've had to put my brewing on hiatus for over the summer months. Too many other irons in the fire and brewing in the summer can be a bit of a hassle having to swap out ice bottles two to three times a day. It hasn't been hard and, fortunately, I have some very good craft beers that I can drink to get me through the home-brew-dry-spell.

All my brew gear is in boxes...I AM FINE... there are twenty bottles of beer left in the pipeline...I AM FINE...every time I go to the grocery store there is no Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye on the shelves ... I AM ABSOLUTELY FREAKINGLY OUT OF MY MIND NOT FINE.

I'm still cool
I agree about the temps. I was actually going to brew 2.5gallons of extract+grains to test my homegrown hops. But the basement is 75, and I'm sailing this weekend. So brewing will wait 'til next week. If I'm not too busy planning vacation. Though I'd really like to have something fermenting while I'm away...
