Fat Jack

I'd been wanting to try the new SA Fat Jack, a pumpkin ale. I had the opportunity to compare it to their Harvest Pumpkin Ale.
Night and day... I always liked the Harvest Pumpkin, but never loved it. It's flavors are muted, but it is a balanced brew. The Fat Jack has a great pumpkin flavor without being over bearing or over spiced like many pumpkin ales. It's got a bolder body and to me, screams flavor.
It's said to have 28# of pumkin per barrel, but I'm not sure how that compares to others... at 8.5%, it is a really easy drinking beer. I split a bomber with two friends (only way it comes now) but I'm sure if I had a couple myself, it would sneak up.
If you like pumpkin ales, I highly recommend giving this a try.
