It's kind of like a cross between a plum and a peach.

I believe it's PLUm and apricOT. My kids love those.

russki is correct. Pluot = PLUm + apricOT. And yes, they are mighty tasty!

I've heard of them but never tried them. I'm not sure they are available in my area or not - but I don't do the grocery shopping either.

There you go.
I knew peach wasn't quite right but couldn't think of the name of the second fruit.

They are also called plumcots. I've seen beer made with them before but never tasted any. Also, demonstrating my vast wealth of useless knowledge, they may be found under the name aprium.

My wife recently tried some pluots, and she didn't care for them at all.
I'm not big on fruit beers, so I probably wouldn't want to brew with them anyway.

As luck would have it, I tried
one of these over the weekend and it was OUTSTANDING.

Maybe in a wheat, with some lighter hops , like citra, would be nice. And of a Saison would work nicely too.

I remembered I had seen this once before from a little more mainstream craft brewery...
