Brewday! #84: Chirp! Red Ale (AG version)

Finally brewing again. Wasn't sure this day would ever come. My wife is out of town, so I took the day off to get the kiddos going and coming from school, etc. That, and a $20 credit at the LHBS, lead to... the return of Chirp! Red Ale. I've only made this as an extract/grain in the past, so this is the first AG pass. Here... we... go.

Trying out the new brew station for the first time. Easy access to water, electric, and refrigeration,
plus places for storage. And, the turkey fryer can be stationary in its storage/usage station. Bonus!

Conan IPA is quite good now...
Sampling a lot of homebrews I haven't touched in a month or two. Time has been kind to all. Weizen, Czech Pils, light Vienna Lager, Conan IPA all much better than I remember. I guess I need to get back into this homebrewing thing... lol....

Victory! OG was a fair bit higher than expected, but I had to top off with about 2L water, so I probably broke even or so... RDWHAHB...

After 2.5 weeks, at 1.012. Past the expected FG! Flavor is classic malty red. I guess I'll bottle after I get back from the camping trip this weekend.
