I've not done it but you can make a lager with pilsner, 2 row, MO or any base malt.
I also love MO and sometimes do a 50/50 with 2 row.

I like MO also. Although I've never used it as the entire base malt. I've also mixed it with two row. But I do like the malt flavor it adds. Seems to add just a touch more malt flavor than 2 row without being overbearingly malty.

I feel like MO would best be used for ales because of the nutty flavor. Lagers, being so crisp and clean tasting, the nuttiness seems like it would interfere with that kind of profile. Unless you used it for a bock beer or something? I dunno.. try it out and let us know the results!

Nope, sorry. Just used it for the first time a few weeks ago and am waiting to test the results this weekend. I hope I like it since I've since used it in two more batches

Love MO. Haven't done a larger with it though. I do use it 100% as the base for my Irish Red. Wonderful!

You could certainly do a lager with it. As long as you're not thinking a traditional American Pale Lager, you could easily go for a darker lager such as an o-fest or something with MO. Blackstone here in Nashville makes a wonderful Maris Otter Ale that I could easily imagine as a lager. I also think it's little sister Golden Promise would be great as well. If memory serves, GP is a spring maturing Scottish malt, while MO is a fall maturing British malt, but they are from nearly the same plant species. I use the heck out of both, and pretty much use them interchangeably, though there are subtle flavor differences.

-bringing this back from the dead- I just realized that my Cali Common recipe uses MO for the base, so lagers (or at least semi-lagers) are definitely a go! Think I'm gonna brew it next. Maybe...

You know I had forgot we used Maris Otter in there. I intend to brew it again also, but need to wait till Jan. - Feb.. Makes it easier to keep the cooler down in lager temps and going to try S-23 yeast this year.
