This is really tasty. I thought the pecan/nut flavor would really be dominant, but it's not. It's got a great balance of malty flavor with a touch of the pecan and just a touch of hops. The color is awesome. It pours a crystal clear brown with hints of red in it. I think most of the pecan comes through in the aroma. I'm going to let it warm a bit too to see if any of the flavors start to really come through.

This is pretty darn good. Thanks for sending Paul!!!

Funny that Lazy Mag has been on the shelf here in Nashville for as long as I can remember, but that's one of those breweries I just never pick up for some reason or another. It is a good beer though, as are most anything I've tried from them. I guess I'll have to revisit them in a mixer. Interesting to see that they are in 14 states now.

The nut and caramel aromas and flavors really do come out as it warms. Very tasty.

Other than their Timber Beast and Jefferson Stout, I'm not a huge fan of their beers but they seem to be getting more and more press locally. They're actually in Mississippi but are only 55 minutes from my house. I'm thinking of doing a tour there one day soon.

Pour it and let it warm up a little. The flavors really come out. I drank half of mine while it was still cold. Much better as it warms.

I saw that in a store here a while back but didn't get it at the time.

I may have to pick up a six to try against my Texas Y'all while I still have a couple left.
