Don't be in a rush

While brewing my smoked porter yesterday, I was tying the spoon to the handle
of the brewpot with a piece of wire, to sanitize it.
I pushed down on the wire, and the spoon flipped up, throwing boiling
wort onto my chin, t-shirt and both forearms. Hyshhh!
Needless to say when I took a shower a while ago, it's almost like
being sunburned in those three spots.
Advice, don't be in a rush, because, damn that hurts!

Sorry you scalded yourself.
But I often find that I have to remind myself, "Less haste; more speed."

Yes, be careful!
Sorry about your burn, glad it was minor.

Glad your ok and thanks for the reminder TT. Brew days are supposed to be relaxing, this is just a hobby after all.

Always gotta be careful of the everyday stuff that can be dangerous.
I got a fairly large second degree burn from a hot oven door that decided to flip closed.

Yeah, I know.
I was running behind, and momma was getting ready for work and I needed her to help me
tote pot in the basement to cool.

Glad to hear that the injuries were a lot less than they could have been.
Stay safe my friends!
