I just got a message from Sam at BrewDemon stating that they having a sale on our 1.7kg cans of Signature Malts. They are 50% off through Nov. 1st. A single can makes 3 gallons of beer and together they make a 6 gallon batch. That's less than $.05 per bottle, if you're keeping track!
For those of you who remember the old Mr. Beer Extracts these are the large version of those.
Our Signature Series 1.7kg cans are complete recipes and require no additional fermentables. This means you can buy a single 1.7kg can and make a 2.5 gallon batch for $6 less than the price of our 2 gallon signature refill. Cheers!
Just placed my order for two 6-gallon batches.
I don't really use HMEs any more but the Evil Pilsner and Twisted Monk were solid recipes before.
I can knock them out quickly and take a batch to work (they love my Nelson Sauvin beers) and have one at home for my wife who likes Wits.
Got into Mr Beer after the buyout, so pulled the trigger for a One Evil Pilsner and the Twited Monk Witbier. See what I missed out on and have a quick easy keg filler brewday.

I was waiting for an awesome sale before I tried the Brew Demon products and my waiting has paid off.
I picked up two 6 gal kits at $31/per (One Evil and Wild Spirit) and one 3gal (Twisted Monk). I’m going to do a 5gal batch of the One Evil pilsner since I’ve missed that one the most. I’ll give my son one of the Wild Spirit IPA cans to brew a 2.5gal batch and keep the other along with the Twisted Monk (another old favorite) for LBK batches!!
I really am going to have to pick some up at these prices. Been pretty busy trying to get the wife's house ready to sell so havent had a decent brew day in awhile. The wife loves the peanut butter oatmeal stout I made with the old Mr. Beer kits so I am sure I wont get too much flack about making six gallon versions of that. My theory is that any brew day is better than no brew day, and if it takes a HME to get 'er done that is fine. Might grab a few other old favorites since as at a little bit more than a buck fifty a 6-pack you really cant beat it, although will run me closer to two bucks as will most likely do it as a 5'er for the keg.

I hear ya DaYooper. My honeydo list is way to long to attempt an AG brew day right now without a severe beating, so a quick HME brew day is on the horizon. Just ordered the 6G Twisted Monk. The Witty Monk was my all time favorite original MB brew (slightly doctored), so it will be a trip back down memory lane for me on this one. Really can't beat the $ on this sale, and the quality is way up there too.

New math?
$31/6 = $5.17 per gallon /128 = $.04036 per ounce x 72 = $2.91 per six.
If you make 5 gallons instead of 6, $3.49 per six.
Plus prorated $8 shipping...
Still, a great deal for those using HMEs.
At this price they are either clearing out old stock, discontinuing these refills, or discontinuing that size can or offer (2 cans together).

You are correct Rick. I was reading "big can" as only needing one for a 6-gallon batch rather than needing two "big" cans. I guess the can is considered big because it is slightly bigger than the others. Good pointing it out.
I was still closer than Leigh who came up with $0.35 a six pack lol.
