Fermentation Temps varied

I brewed up a NB caribou slobber one gallon last weekend. It came with Windsor Ale yeast (60-75 degrees fermentation temp). I am trying to find the sweet spot in the basement for good temps. Being that it's a small batch, it's quick to change temps.

The temp has varied between 62 and 68, is this gonna effect it?

YEs it will
But it will be good ber
And it will be years before you know EXACTLY how the temp swing affected it
IF you ever do

It will be good

Yes it will, but until you drink it you wont know if it is for the good or bad. And unless you drink side by side you will never know. Take careful notes, and if you brew it again and can hold a specific temp or range you will then be able to tell if it was for the good, bad, or ugly. That is half the fun!

I agree...but, the temps stayed in the recommended fermentation temp range of 60 - 75. So you shouldn't get any off flavors at all.

It's really only an issue if you want absolute consistency and/or hate English beer esters, but then why brew an English beer?

So I agree, it should be good.
