:party: :wow: Nice! I'm tempted to buy too. But I really want to use up the stuff I have. I just brewed an APA that I have made before, but not. Because I completely changed the hop schedule. No more Cascade? Use Centennial and Columbus. Plenty of hops in the fridge!

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Excuse me sir but as a moderator you should not be allowed to post the picture until the rest of us are provided with a drool emoticon. It is elitist if you can post and we are not allowed to sigh with little tiny cartoon graphic thingys.

How fresh do they stay for you guys. Seems like it would be a good buy but I would assume they start lossing their effectiveness at some point if you are still using your 2012 hops and such.

I've used hops frozen for almost a year but I have a vacuum sealer. After about 6 months, I add a bit more hops than called for to make up for any possible loss in quality.

I've read different views on older hops. Some adjust, some discard, I use them as prescribed unless they don't smell good.

Hops are incapable of smelling bad. :lol:
If they aren't packed right they can get freezer burn marks or go brownish. You don't want to use them if they are discolored. Not that they will make the beer bad, but they are not nearly at their best then.

Old hops are good for bittering additions in bug farm sours.
