I put my Nashville beer in one of my newest kegs that was free. It's only been used 5 or so times and is in pristine shape. I had some problems with the flow when I emptied the star san out and thought it was the poppet. Nope, replaced it and no difference. Thought it was the ball lock itself. Nope, replaced it and no difference. I took the tube out and thought it didn't look been enough but I've not touched it before so I bent it a bit and tried it but no luck. So, I ended up trying a tube from an older style keg and of course it worked. It was curved even more but why is the original tube that I did nothing to not working?
Anyway, the keg has been carbing for 4 days and I hope I didn't screw things up with taking it apart. I was as clean as possible.
It did taste pretty darn good though.

I’ve got a 3-gallon keg of my Triple Threat IPA that is foaming like crazy. I can see the foam in the tube as soon as it leaves the keg. All the connections are tight, so I don’t know... I may have to do as you’ve done and try a tube from another keg. I HATE exposing my beer to air!!

I've considered kegging, but these kinds of posts make kegging sound like too much of a hassle and have kept me from pulling the trigger. Bottles just work...

Actually, for me, even with the few problems I've had, I still love the ease and simplicity of kegging. Most of my problems are just my lack of knowledge even after 2 1/2 years of kegging. These are all things that happen but I'm not a very patient person so I bitch and gripe more than most (true confessions).
In fact, this is only my 3rd problem and so far, I've managed to fix all 3 on my own with zero $$$$$. But, having extra kegs around as well as some spare parts really make it easier. I don't miss bottling at all.

Not been kegging that long, since May but have, fingers crossed, not experienced any problems so far other than operator error. I emptied a two week old refill of CO2 did not have the fitting tight enough to seal. And just sticky faucets when they set without a pour for a week or so. I don't have all Perlick faucets yet, only one of the 3 is. IMO bottling from the keg is much easier too.
