How much have you brewed in 2015?

Post by FedoraDave »

I enjoyed this thread on the MB board. Usually it was started by Swenocha, but I guess he Swen'd us on it lately, because I didn't see one for 2014. But I liked keeping track of my annual brewing this way, as well as seeing what other folks were brewing. None and this is the longest I've gone without brewing in ages. Might not even brew until I come back from Nashville as I have quite a lot of beer. Still, I miss it.
Might have to find make time to brew before Nashville but it's not looking good.
No worries Dave, I'll catch up with you in the spring time.

I was this close [*holds thumb and forefinger reeeeeaaaaaaaly close together*] to starting this thread today, as I am just cleaning up from brewing my first of the year. Glad Dave caught up to my slackerness.

Rules of the thread: Post one, and only one, post. Edit that post to update your brewing (do not add a new post each time... this just keeps it tidy). That's about it!

1/4/2015: #88: Nashville Pre-Prohibition Amber Ale (Gerst recipe) - 2.75 gallons (undershot my volume a bit... I guess I'm a little bit rusty)
3/7/2015: #89: Cidre Normande - 1 gallon
4/26/2015: #90: House IPA - 2.25 gallon
5/17/2015: #91: Kölschbier - 2.5 gallon
7/9/2015 : #92: Hard BluBree Limeade - 1 gallon
8/16/2015: #93: Fest Ale - 3 gallon
11/15/2015: #94: Sour-Patch Candy Apple Cider - 3 gallon
12/27/2015: #95: Caramel-Coconut Wee Heavy (with coconut, cacao nibs, and likely bourbon soaked oak cubes in secondary) - 2.75 gallon

Total: 18.25 gallons

Looks like I'll wrap the year under 20 gallons (unless I sneak in another brew day next weekend, which is possible but not likely).

So, my ongoing stats since starting stand at:

2010: 77.5 gallons on 33 brews
2011: 54 gallons on 21 brews
2012: 38.5 gallons on 15 brews
2013: 22.5 gallons on 9 brews
2014: 24.5 gallons on 9 brews
2015: 18.5 gallons on 8 brews

I need to pledge to make 2016 my first increase from prior year brewing production. I think with my schedule, I'd like to shoot for at least once a month, maybe hitting 35 or so gallons.

How about "how much beer have you drank in 2015? 2014?

I lost count but I know I'll make up some in Nashville. I won't be drinking much this month for a few reasons .......... Preparing my liver for Nashville is one of those reasons
